What Constitutes A Mountain Bike To Be Ready For A Rugged Drive?
Mountain bikes are the strongest and most rugged of bicycles. These bicycles are supposed to be ridden on the pebbled and steep inclines, dirt tracks and also through the hairpin bends. Cyclists drive very rarely on the mountain roads, which are paved. Many of the cyclists like using their mountain bikes on the unpaved and narrow tracks. This would result in a more tear and wear, which force the manufacturers of the cycle to come up with bikes that are sturdier.

Basing on the type of suspension they possess, we can categorize the mountain bikes into soft tails, hard tails, dual suspension bikes and fully rigid. Soft tails come with a rear suspension that stands on the frame rather than the pivots. Hard tails are with a front suspension fork and rigid ones have the rigid fork. Full or dual suspension bikes have both rear suspension and a front suspension. They even come with a rear shock absorber too as a linkage.
Bikes for cross country riding are usually made of light weight and resilient material. These weigh as less as 20 Pounds and the heaviest ones would be around 40 pounds. All mountain bikes or enduro are normally heavier when compared with cross country bikes. These have weights ranging from 30 to 35 pounds. These come with better suspension which would work well when you climb uphill or when you steer over the hairpin bends.
The mountain bikes used for free riding are made of heavier and stronger materials. These are designed to have easy pedaling in comparison with a downhill bike. It is easy to maneuver these bikes around steep turns and dangerous obstacles. These are however not as efficient as the cross country bikes because of their weight. These have a weight ranging from 40-50 pounds.
Free riding bikes are stronger than the downhill mountain bikes but, these are much suitable for a downhill ride trails and race courses. These come with a better traction than many of the
A time trial bike doesn't come with a suspension and is generally used for short distances. These don't have a correct vestigial pad or a seat and lighter when compared with other bikes and weigh around 15-20 around lighter.
Dirt jumping, street and urban mountain bikes come in between the mountain bikes and trial bikes. These are strong enough and come with one to nine gears and also a chain guide for both rear and front gears. Be cautious to use the right type of bicycle clothing for any ride.
