Fixing a Broken Brake Light
Have you ever experienced a stuck brake light? This is an unfavorable situation but there is a way you can fix it. Refer to the following steps when you need to fix a car light, in this case, when you want to fix a stuck brake light.
Step one - First you will want to check the brake-pedal switch. When you press down on the brake pedal, a small button behind it will be activated. This will make your break lights go on. Press the switch manually and see if it’s stuck. If so, you can press it in an attempt to force the stuck part.
Step two -For further examination, you should find the fuse for your brake light and pull it out. ( Remember to re-install it before you begin driving again ).
Step four -After this you want to find the brake light bulbs and carefully remove them.
Step six - Then, disconnect the negative battery cable. Read up in your car manual and on the internet to try to locate the problem.
Step seven - Contact a local mechanic to have the problem with your stuck brake light diagnosed and properly repaired.
Keep in mind that driving with a broken brake light can cause a serious accident. IT will also get you pulled over and a possible pricey traffic ticket. These types of fixes are temporary. They just keep your battery from going dead on your way home. Be sure to consult a professional about this problem and get it fixed right away.
